I'm just having trouble finding the formula for calculating optimum diameter for the recieving antenna. The station I want to pick up is 60miles away, on the fringe of reception. They transmit on that freq, and I am hoping to "tune" an antenna to that freq.
I am trying to build an antenna (sony style ><) to Freq 579.25Mhz. Calculated 1/4 wl to be 5.096in. What would the optimum wire diameter for 579.25Mhz be?
