I have build in the last days this very nice automatic Tuner Module (pa2evh) from the electron 2/2012. But in short words: the stepper motor will not run. The motor ( unipolar steppermotor- 5 cables) creates only some noise. No rotation. It seems, that the 16F876 works well , because the indicator Leds doing all what I have read in the article. When I start the board (switch on the powersupply) the LED sequence is running , but the motor stands still and creating only somenoise. With my 2 channel Digiscope I could see the pulsstring at the ULN2803 outputs to the Steppermotor.
These pulsstring should be very fast. The puls ONtime should be ( 1,5mS) and the pulsdurationtime will be 6 mSec , mesured at the pins of the uP( 15/16/17/18); last but not least I have tryied several Steppermotors / (all unipolar) but all the time I got the same result.
I will not hope that the work will be now for the "trashbox"
Is there any gentleman who could help me, to solve this Problem ?

automatic Magn.LOOP Tuner from PA2EVR, A software Problem ?
Re: automatic Magn.LOOP Tuner from PA2EVR, A software Proble
Hallo,
eigen Software.
Te vinden op de site van PI4WAG.

Re: automatic Magn.LOOP Tuner from PA2EVR, A software Proble
Hello,
Well look first at the terminals of the stepper motor
wrong thread?
I myself have also looked design that Electron.
Perhaps the stepper motor to little steps.
The fewer steps for 360 degrees faster since he turned.
Xtal frequency upc works okay?
Look especially at the wires and connection sequence.
You have steppers with 4 wires 5 and 6.
Is there enough mechanical delay between stepper and varco?
Stepper Motors have low torx when constant voltage fed.
I myself have several steppers run on my various magnetic loops but with my
own software.
Be found on the website of PI4WAG.

Re: automatic Magn.LOOP Tuner from PA2EVR, A software Proble
Thanks very much for the answers. The good news - in the meantime I solve the problem. I have had some Steppermotors (for example the NMB PM55L-048-HP01) and second this old small Teac or similar Motors from old Floppydisks.PA2OLD schreef:Stappenmoter voor een Loop antenne?

After some experiments only with a powersupply to see in what direction the motor will be stepping .. it was clear,
that the NMB PM55 was a Bipolar Version and the TEAC or similar are Unipolar Motors.
So now I found the correct connection for these TEACs Motors etc.
And he is running now !
The second problem now: this Teacmotors generates only a Stepangle of 1,8 degrees. So my dwn gear System (at this time 1:625) is absolutly much. First I have had the Idea to change in the C-FILE this 5000 Steps argument for example to 20000; But I do not know , how to compile the C-File with this Mikro C Pro Programm (here I have only the the free or Testversion from this Software). And it could be possible that the C-FILE would be t great for these Software Test Version ?
Is here anybody is this Forum who is using this software and knows a little bit about the handling ?
So I think it will be easier to change the gearbox to 1:100 ( 5000 steps x 1,8 = 9000 / 90grad = 100 )
Or, I must look for a Unipolar Motor with 7,5 degrees Stepangle.
Thats all for today, thanks again to all gentlemen here for the help,

"how to create a new Project"
Then I have startet to try my first experiments with these "free C - Compiler".
Now , let me write it in some short words :
It works with the PA2EVR C-File.
I have changed the Argument 5000 up to 20000 in the pa2evr C File , compiled this so called "new20000" C-File ...
and got a new20000 Hexfile.
Its interesting, that the new HEX File has only 7 kB ( the original from pa2evr was 8kB great)
That HEX file was going with my Picstartplus Programmer up ( MPLAB) into the 16F876 Prozessor.
Now: the 1,8 degree steppermotor works like the 7,5 degree Stepper Motor.
